Major challenges that MNCs face when developing performance management processes
Some of the major challenges that MNCs face when developing performance management processes within countries outside of the United States includes the model differences that makes it hard for the MNCs to fit in the emerging markets. There is the conflicting imperative challenge which sometimes makes MNCs to tailor their operations and businesses in order to meet the needs of the locals, but at the same time they are expected to maintain their global image and processes. The historical background of these MNCs also affects their objectives and operations in these emerging markets. For instance the global companies who have shifted to organic production do not havethe inconsistencies of operations in these countries, but they find it a challenge to modify their products and services in order to meet the needs of the local people.
