Define the three layers of culture. What impact do these three layers of culture have on International Human Resource management?
“Culture is the characteristic way of behaving and believing that a group of people havedeveloped over time and share in common” (Tarique, Briscoe, & Schuler, p. 124, 2016).The three layers are surface culture, hidden culture, and invisible culture. These three layers play a role in understand culture and the differences that other countries have. The surface layer is something that can be seen visually, such as how people dress, greetings, and body language. Hidden culture is something that may not be easily seen but can be identified when interacting with individuals who have different values, and religious beliefs. Invisible culture is known as the core, emphasizing beliefs and values
