What can retailers do to ensure good service? Other than the product itself, what can retailers do to offer value to customers? Be sure you include both in store and online retailing. In your post, include a positive and a negative experience to illustrate what the retailer did or perhaps should have done to provide good service.
I personally feel that good service starts with the employees. If they can provide great customer service than the experience the customer encounters is a good one. The customer could still not find their product or even get the wrong order at a restaurant and if the CSR is providing great service and a positive atmosphere, the customer will still feel as if the service was good; no matter the situation they are in. I recently went to Starbuck’s to order a Protein Bistro Box. The cashier at the drive thru was pleasant and my overall experience at the store itself was fine.
